Re: 'Cascioli could descend from saviour to sellout' (Feb. 2)
Teresa Cascioli of Lakeport Brewing has done an excellent job in turning around the business, which now has a 12 per cent share in the beer market.
She should hold on to her job and accept that her efforts have already cut into the profits of Labatt Breweries of Canada.
In the last seven years, she has worked alone and built up the Lakeport company. It is up to her now if she wants to accept the offer from Labatt Breweries to buy her out because she may need a rest. If she decides to continue in her job, she should slow down for her own personal sake. Let her have time to develop her personal life while still holding on to her company but enjoying the name she has made for herself in the community and the business world.
Forty million dollars may not be able to replace the profile she enjoys in the community.
